FLY CASTING COURSE - SPRING 2025
If folks are interested in learning, or improving, fly casting skills, on Saturday morning, 26 April, 2025, members of the Fredericton Fish & Game Association will be offering personalized fly casting instruction.
The course will take place at the auditorium at Saint John the Evangelist church at 75 Main Street (right across from the Nashwaaksis Memorial School). The course will start at 9am and wrap up at noon. If you already have fly fishing gear, bring it along and we’ll show you how to get the most out of it. If you don’t have gear, we’ll have extra rods for you to practise with and help you select gear. We welcome all ages and skill levels.
The course will be free to all fish & game members, and $25 for non-members. This fee will provide you with a one-year membership to Fredericton F&G as well as the NB Wildlife Federation. We will also offer a guided shad fishing trip to participants in early summer.

Report Your Catch!
Anglers are strongly encouraged to report their catch and assist in efforts to improve fish stocks and fishing areas in New Brunswick.
The province of New Brunswick has created an online angling record site, making it easier than ever for anglers to keep an active and ongoing journal of their catches. This information goes a long way to help the ministry of Energy Resources and Mines effectively manage our Natural Resources!
